Bankruptcy and Consumer Protection Lawyer, Toby Coleman
My name is Toby Coleman.
For over 18 years I have successfully guided Mississippians through the court systems of this state. Although the majority of my work takes place in the Greater Jackson, Mississippi area, my work has taken me to courts across the entire state of Mississippi. During my eighteen years of practice, I have helped individuals from all walks of life. Through the years, I have witnessed, experienced and come to appreciate the many types of financial challenges that can come up, whether they are expected or a complete surprise.
My practice is currently focused on representing individuals who are at odds with debt collectors, banks and other creditors. I am currently accepting clients who are seeking bankruptcy protection, those seeking to defend collections lawsuits and those who need protection from unfair and illegal creditor collection practices.
My passion for bankruptcy and consumer protection law flows from the prospect of helping a client take these challenges head on. I get excited about the idea of helping each individual escape from the overwhelming burden of debt that they face. Helping other Mississippians is my work and passion.
I am a native of Jackson, Mississippi and have lived in Mississippi most of my life. I have been happily married for well over a decade. My wife and I are the proud parents of three children.
In 1998 I graduated cum laude from of the University of Mississippi School of Law. Before that, I trained as an accountant at Purdue University and practiced in that profession for several years before heading to law school. My accounting background has proved a valuable asset in handling financial matters in the courts of this state.
